The 2021 CBD bill has been presented to Congress and is currently under review. This bill seeks to legalize the use of hemp and cannabidiol (CBD) products, although the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) currently does not allow CBD products to be sold as dietary supplements. To better understand the potential effects of CBD, a study was conducted with 715 participants who were at least 18 years old and were initially treated exclusively with CBD-rich products. The results of this study showed that CBD-rich treatment may have a positive effect on symptoms, although no causal effect could be drawn without a control group.
This has led to the recent mitigation of legal and regulatory barriers surrounding purified CBD products in several countries and an increased interest in CBD treatments. CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant and then mixed with a carrier oil, such as olive, coconut, or medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil, to create CBD oil. Legal THC levels in CBD products range from 0.3% for general use to 0.9-5% for medical use of CBD. To optimize absorption, it is recommended to administer CBD oil sublingually without combining it with other substances.
The advantages of isolated CBD oil over other types of CBD are that it is generally cheaper and contains no THC. Kannaway has been granted certification to import a wide range of CBD products, including tinctures, oils and medical marijuana skin care products. Before taking any CBD product, it is important to consult a doctor to ensure safety and avoid possible adverse incidents. The potential effects of CBD as an adjunct therapy for social anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, non-motor symptoms in Parkinson's disease and substance use disorders have been studied.
